I was born in Durban SA, never been to Portman Rd or the UK. I have a desire to go to FPR soon.I started supporting ITFC in 78' and have never strayed, liked Liverpool before with no sentiments though.How did i came to support them you might ask? TV was just 3 years in SA then, so watching british football, more so the FA cup final, was a moment of note in SA. with more than twenty or so soccer mad guy's crammed into a small lounge in a house in Chatsworth and me being the only guy shouting for the Blue Army transformed me from casual viewer to a Blue fanatic. i have been blue ever since.Greatest moment: 78' FA Cup win Greatest fan club: SABASA Worst moment: 1-9 MUFC Funniest moment: We did not get much in images before DSTV & internet in SA: I remember watching ITFC play Milwall and for the first ten minutes was shouting for Millwall thinking they were ITFC, never lived that down with any of my mates.I must be the only South African of Indian origin to support Ipswich Town. |
