Rick Sheldrake – ITFC supporter for as long as I can remember!

Born in Ipswich on Whitehouse estate moved to chantry estate when I was three!

First game was on my dads shoulders when we won the league in 62, not that I have any memory of that! Started watching Ipswich reserves in 1970, using my dads season ticket, Mick Hill was a family friend around that time.

1978 is the obvious one, what an experience that was!

1976 Paul mariners first home game, we had beat man utd 1-0 away the week before Clive woods goal mariners début , we beat WBA 7-0 Trevor whymark scored four(none with his head) and mariner scored a dream goal where hi ran from the halfway line and cracked it into the top corner, Beattie also scored a cracker that nearly broke the net!

1975 beating Leeds in the third replay 3-2 with a classic Clive Woods curler!!

Sitting beside John Barns at anfield when we won our first ever game at Liverpool 1-0 we had lost 9-0 away at Man U a week earlier!

best team seen live has to be the 1978 cup winning team, just because of the performance on the day , they thrashed a star packed arsenal team, in one of the most one sided cup finals I have ever seen!
